Rock the Boat has got a new website! Seeing as this is our first blog entry, I'll quote our About page to introduce you to who we are:
Rock the Boat Books is a mobile book distributor in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Our goal is to make radical reading material available on a range of topics. We aim to disseminate subversive knowledge, stimulate creative thinking, and contribute to a vibrant activist culture in our community.
Rock the Boat Books is founded on anti-oppressive principles of equality, peace and social justice. We hope to network and collaborate with local organizations working toward social change and to provide activists with resources needed for political action.
Throughout the year, we will be setting up book tables at various events, festivals, conferences and shows in and around Regina.
We plan to carry books in the following categories: anarchism, decolonization, DIY culture, ecology, feminism, food politics, gender politics, globalization, indigenous issues, labour, peace movement, progressive parenting, and queer theory. We are always open to new material. If you're looking for a distributor for your zines, stickers, buttons, patches, etc., or if you would like to make a book recommendation, contact us and we'll consider it.
